Testimonials

“When I first started Somatic work with Jon, I was in a constant state of depression and anxiety. I couldn't interact with people, something I used to be good at, and I could no longer envision a future for myself that included happiness. Jon was able to identify my nervous system's fight/flight reaction and helped me work on retraining those patterns. The talk and breathwork at the beginning of our sessions are tools I've carried with me to the present day. The deeper somatic work brought about intense emotions and physical breakthroughs during sessions and helped me to find a way forward” - D.R.

“It felt as if I was stuck in most areas of my life, most of my life. When I met Jon I was instantly drawn into his calm and nurturing energy. When I felt the most stuck and closed off, I decided to receive a healing from him. I was drawn to his, what felt to me, protective feminine energy. Jon has an ability to make you feel at ease and taken care of. The work I did opened emotions and feelings which were deeply rooted and never dealt with. With the help of Jon’s guidance, I was able to connect the dots and piece together my life and understand my current patterns and how to break these patterns. Jon, I can’t thank you enough for your help, your support and for the willingness to help me through to the other side.” - M.W.

“Jon’s approach to somatic bodywork is INCREDIBLY effective, but at the same time very gentle. I came to Jon in the midst of severe fatigue and overwhelm- to the point where even getting in the shower and getting ready to head out into the world was too much for me. I left after my first session grounded and able to function again- headed straight to the store and visited some friends (I was so excited to be back and have energy in my body). I knew I needed this work in my life. I knew it would help me get to the root of my, what I call “patterning” or “stuckness”. Session after session he’s helped guide & peel away at the layers of trauma. I’m almost two years into receiving this method and I’m the most grounded, safe, balanced, and embodied I’ve ever been. This is one of the greatest healing journeys I’ve ever been on. Thank you Jon.” - K.W.

"As a man, I imagined it being uncomfortable to work with a male practitioner, however Jon’s presence made me feel very safe, and with his respectful guidance I was successfully able to work through some deep seated issues and beliefs surrounding my father." - A.Z.

“Jon brings a clear energy that is at once powerfully deep and also gentle. In working with him, I don't feel he is personally invested in the outcome, but rather is acting as he's called and guided to, which in turn helps allow me to not put pressure on myself and trust the process. His integrity and kindness create a safe environment to explore anything that comes up -- I look forward to working more with Jon in the future.” - L.S.

Amanda Hamm

Amanda grew up in Southern California as an athlete, professional dancer, and performer.  She has been practicing Yoga since 2005 and has been teaching since 2011.

She experienced her first somatic session in 2017, and immediately knew it was a another valuable modality to help support her clients’ and her own wellbeing. Amanda became a certified practitioner of Somatic Release Technique and PNE (PsychoNeuroEnergetics) in 2019, studying with Catalina Ureta and Judith Johnson.

Amanda views somatic sessions as a safe place where you have the opportunity to listen to and observe what your body is communicating to you. We work together to access internal and external resources that help you feel safe, resilient, supported, and strong so you can identify and resolve whatever pattern, emotion, or belief that keeps you feeling stuck.

Sessions with Amanda can involve breathwork, movement, acupressure, self massage, and nervous system regulation exercises.

Amanda sees Yoga and somatic work as an invitation for us to become more resilient and more connected to our bodies, to our breath, to others, and to the world. It is her intent to provide a safe container for you to experience all the innate wisdom your body provides, as it leads us back into alignment with our heart and our true nature.
